Come On, Let's Play! project pitch was opened in Brody (Lviv Oblast) on August 22 allowing training of more than 120 boys and girls from 7 to 12 years. Except for the local kids, internally displaced children forced to leave their homes because of active situation in such cities like Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Nova Kakhovka, and Kyrylivka play football here.

Coach Oleksii Maksymovskyi is also an internally displaced person. He worked earlier in Come On, Let's Play! in Popasna (Luhansk Oblast). Children and their coach are provided with all the required equipment for training like in the other cities.

Note that opening of Come On, Let's Play! pitch in Brody became possible thanks to joint efforts of Shakhtar Social foundation and the project partner Lemtrans.

Inna Khmyzova, Shakhtar Social Director:

– Lemtrans has been the Shakhtar Social foundation partner for 4 years already. We continued cooperation despite the full-scale war and we are grateful to our partners for sharing our vision and values. Come On, Let's Play! project has always been more than just a football. This is an opportunity for children to have fun with health benefits, meet new friends and, of course, play football. Everything that children love and used to do in time of peace. Such simple things are more significant now.

Volodymyr Mezentsev, Lemtrans CEO:

– All our projects before war time were to ensure that our future generation growing healthy. Lemtrans together with Shakhtar Social opened Come On, Let's Play! football pitches in Popasna and Volnovakha. But war was started becoming almost the biggest blow to children. We all wish them to return to active and happy life as soon as possible and when we were offered to open new Come On, Let's Play! football pitch in Brody, we decided to join and bear the costs required for the project implementation. Today, when children need support the most, we have to help them. We believe that sport will help children to stay healthy and find new friends.

We want to remind that from February 24 to August 1, SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and FC Shakhtar have granted UAH 3 billion or about USD 100 million to help Ukraine and Ukrainians, with the amount increasing daily. Humanitarian aid has already reached over 11 million people throughout the country.
